Getting ready to upgrade my system to HD. I currently have 4 tv's connected via an SW64 switch. I have found a good price on a dpp44 switch WITHOUT the power inserter.

Will my current power inserter used with the SW64 be OK to use with the dpp44?
THANKS!

IMO...and the short answer...no.

But, with that said, what type of receivers are you going to have hooked up? If all of them are DP, then the odds are good that you won't need an inserter. I'm sure a few others will disagree, but from what I've seen out in the field, if you have enough DP receivers on a DPP44 switch, they'll give you enough juice to power that switch.

i went job that has 1 322, and 510 hooked up. and i was adding 622. he never had power inserter. once i added 622 it would not pick signal in none of the receiver. so i had to add the power inserter.

Hmmm....I wonder if swapping receivers to different ports might've helped things (w/o using a power inserter).
