Post Your Bill

Okay guys, looks like they are screwing me.

It looks right with the new pricing that took place 2/1 unless you are being charged for your primary receiver or if your primary receiver is not a Duo DVR. I am not saying that I agree with the new receiver pricing.

Does the AEP not include the DVR fee anymore? Also, my primary receiver is the 322. Should I call and have them move the primary receiver to the 722? Man these fees are gonna make me quit these guys.

Edit: I have 1 322, 2 722's, and 1 622 on my account, just FYI.

Not anymore, the DVR fee is not included with AEP. You should call and ask them to make one of the 722 receivers your primary receiver. You just edited your post, so either a 622 or 722 is your primary receiver and you're NOT getting charged for it.

I just noticed that, but on my account its says that the primary is the 322, but it looks like I'm not being charged for the highest one, like you stated.

Just for info:

Previous bill for same programming:

Total 138.98 before taxes

New bill with same programming after the "credits" get removed:

Total 170.99 before taxes

So a whopping increase of $32.01 for absolutely NOTHING but greed.

The 322 is $14.00 and then you have 2 charges of $17.00 (622 or 722). Since you have 3 duo HD DVR receivers, you're not getting charged for one of them.

BTW, I agree with you that these new prices are nothing but greed.

Monthly Charges
Feb 19 - Mar 18 America's Top 120 With Locals 39.99
HBO & Showtime 22.00
HD DuoDVR Receiver 17.00
DVR Service 6.00
HD & Platinum 10.00
$ 94.99
Other Charges and Credits
Jan 29 Receiver Credit 1 of 6 - Adjustment -5.00
Taxes
Feb 06 State/Local Tax (Sales/Gross Receipts) 1.38
Total Due by Feb 26, 2010 $ 91.37

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I drop HBO & Showtime today -22.00
Netflicks is my movie Channel
Total Due by Feb 26, 2010 $ 69.37

I'm actually surprised that even though the 322 is listed as my primary that they are not sticking me with 3 17.00 charges. If I had another choice besides Direct, I would be out.

Okay. I think that I figured out what your new bill subtotal would be (if you are able to get Bronze & Platinum HD together for $10/month instead of $20/month)...
AT 120 $39.99
DVR Service $ 6.00
Bronze & Platinum HD $10.00
Maa TV A LA Carte $9.99
Gemini TV $14.99
ViP 722 Included in base price
DHA Leased Receiver- ViP 222 $14.00
TOTAL $94.97 + tax

If your receivers were connected before February 1 (which I am guessing that they were), you will probably get a $5.00 receiver credit for 6 months (bringing your subtotal to $89.97 if this happens).

Hi MoJo,

I have a few questions
1). What is included in Bronze HD (what channels)? I think in Platinum HD, there are some 11 channels between 361 & 394 but what are included in Bronze HD
Probably we do not watch most of these channels but I guess one of these 2 is mandatory to keep the HD receivers unless we pay $5 or so.

2). If I opt to replace the ViP222, with a solo non DVR, it will be $ 7 or solo DVR, it will be $10. I think I am out of the contract. Will Dish Network replace it free (labor & equipment) for any such change?

3). My "Classic Bronze 100 with DVR ($44.99)" will change to "AT 120 $39.99 &
DVR Service $ 6.00 in the new bill with a net increase of $1.01 for the same programming. Am I right?

Got my new bill...

Sucks its going to cost me $20 to get rid of Playboy then another $5 to drop down packages.

1 = Additional fees apply to view.

The following channels are available in Platinum HD:
361 MAV TV HD
363 IndiePlex HD
365 RetroPlex HD
366 Universal HD
371 Centric
373 Logo
374 Fashion TV HD
383 HDNet Movies
385 MGM HD
387 Crime and Investigation Network HD
394 World Fishing Network HD

I hope that I did not miss any channels.
There was an HD Enabling fee at one time for $6/month for those with HD boxes who did not subscribe to any HD; however, I think the fee went away completely.

2.) I am not sure what costs they will want. Solo nonDVRs after the primary reciever are $7/month for each (regardless of HD or SD). Solo DVRs after the primary reciever are $10/month. I am not sure of your primary receiver; the most expensive receiver should be included in the base package price. I know you did not ask, but additional NonDVR Duos are $14/month while additional DVR Duos are $17/month. DVR service for all TVs should now be $6.00/month. Before 2/1, it was $5.98/month (unless you had a discount with locals for $5.00/month). I would check to see if you are out of contract. If so, threatening to cancel may help with them replacing it. :) Other than that, I think the Service Plan may help, but that is $6.00/month. I am not sure if you would find that worth it. I am not sure how they will go about the replacement. Honestly, I would just ask. I cannot promise anything about this question. I hope if anyone else knows that they will help answer this question. You may qualify for a Dishin' It Up offer as an existing customer. Like I said, I am not sure, though.

3. With the information you provided, you are close. It would actually be a $1.00 more from what you provided. :D

I hope this information helps you.:)

Yes, but the DVR fee is $10 instead of $6.

Good point. I think that we will stay with what we got. We do not have DVR now because everyone else said they would not know how to use it, and $6 more would not help now with those new receiver fees.

My Bill went down by 2 cents, but only because of $11 in loyalty credits. Come August it will go up $10.98. It is tempting to be annoyed, but I still would not find a better deal anywhere for HD service and 2 great HD DVR's...

What do they mean by "loyal customer"? Are those the customer subscribing to the highest packages and order tons of PPV.

What's with all the recent channel moves?
