Similar question, need specific answer.
I have DTV/TIVO w/2 incomming coax lines.
I was told by DTV that I could split into one line and use my old receiver.
I tried a standard splitter and lost all viewing on both sets, until I re-connected.
Do I need a different type of splitter? Is this just not possible.
Will I not be able to use both at the same time? I thought that since I had 2 incoming lines, that I could tap one and still have the other for the other receiver. Would I only sacrifice the Tivo recording ability while the second unit was on?
