Possible new bug in EHD formatting

I bought a new EHD (the same model, controller, enclosure, etc.) as my previous EHDs. The new one is 3TB to replace a 1TB that has filled up.

When I plug it in, the standard I have to format it to use it with the hopper message that pops up. When I select Yes, it appears to begin formatting the drive. The message pops up again about three times.

In the end, the flashing stops after a lot of flashing, and nothing happens. If I remove it and plug it back in, I get the same (I have to format it message)

In other words, the format seems to be broken.

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this yet, as probably not many of you have actually tried to add or format a new drive.

Is there a way for anyone to confirm this or get a message to Dish Tech support so they can look at it? I've tried everything, including disconnecting all my other EHDs, so this is the only one on the USB bus. I'm on Firmware 391

Thanks in advance

I formatted a 500 GB on Friday. Fast and easy. Still on 389. Maybe you should try rebooting Hopper if you have not already.
Thanks all. It looks like 392 fixed it!

I tried with 3TB and 2TB drives on two different enclosures, and they both formatted fine. Yeah!!

Now to figure out how much I want two EHD's available all the time.
I have the Seagate 6TB drive for all my movies, etc.
With the 7TB limit, I can only use 1TB drives with the 6TB online. However, I need to expand the current 1TB to something bigger, so I must take the 6TB drive offline.

My guess is just use the 3TB and just suck it up with the option of using it and two of the other 1TB drives.

Grrrrrrr. LOL. (Darn complicated problem to have, huh?)

You'll be drowning in 3T worth of stuff!
