OK, I sent a pm to a dirt member three days ago and got a reply the following day. Then I replied to the same dirt member with a follow up question. No response as yet. Today I sent another pm to a dirt member and checked back later to see if answered, no answer and when I checked my notifications I only see the first original pm in my sent messages folder. Does someone on this forum have to review pm's prior to actually releasing them, or is there some problem with the system? Seems strange I cannot see my own sent messages.

Perhaps you hit cancel instead of send? How are you accessing the forum? By web browser, iPhone/iPad app, android, etc.? More info might help the staff here determine what is going on.

Which DIRT team member did you PM? They do not work everyday. The one you PMed may be off work.

I signed in to forum, clicked on "notifications" saw no new messages then clicked on "in Box". Only thing showing in my in box is the original reply from the first message sent. My first message was to ZackS my message today was to MaryB. I understand that the recipient might not be working or away or just too busy, but I don't understand why there is nothing in my "Sent messages" box other than the original message from me to ZackS. I am certain i clicked on "submit message" at the bottom of the screen after typing my message. I am using a desk top home computer and a very solid DSL connection.

I think that you have to check "Save a copy" or something like that, each time you send a message. Even when replying.

Yes, it's at the bottom of the PM page.

Thanks, I clicked on settings at bottom of screen then clicked on "General Settings". There was a section on messaging. There were several buttons where you could customize your settings. All the buttons were properly selected EXCEPT one near the bottom. The default was "do not save copies of pm's. I changed this to: "save a copy of messages in my sent items folder". Hopefully this will correct the issue. It is quite possible that I did check the "send a copy" option when I sent the first PM but did not do that on the next. By changing the button referenced looks like I will not need to save pm's individually.
