I finally attached a HH motor to my eliptical dish. Motor works fine. I wired it correctly. It's pointed at my due south satellite. I have a COOLSAT 4000 PRO receiver. How do I get the dish to move through the receiver? Please walk me through each and every step.
Thanks!

I like USALS for moving my dish , It's been awhile and I'm not in front of my receiver so hopefully I can be of help .

Because you are currently pointed to your true south sat.
Go to Motor setup and toggle thru the satellites until you find your true south sat , then enter info for Longitude and Latitude , use USALS and then save ,in motor setup go to another satellite and make sure it's set to USALS , make sure sat info includes where sat is located example 79.0 west. Save and exit.

On your remote hit the sat button and toggle thru list to the other sat that you programmed in motor setup , hit enter . Motor should now move to that sat , once you have success proceed to motor setup and do the same for each and every satellite.

Thanks. How do I know if my motor will work with the USALS commands??
I bought a motor from Austria--called Superjack DG 120+, DiSEqC 1.2. It came with no instructions. Obviously, it will accept a DiSEqC 1.2 signal, but isn't that diffferent than USALS?
If it will not take USALS, how do I make my Coolsat 4000 PRO move the dish with the DiSEqC 1.2 commands?????
Please help!!

USALS is Diseqc 1.3 and the CS4000 WILL do USALS

On your true south satellite, go into motor settings and select USALS. You need to enter your latitude & longitude and then the motor will move. You will need to change all satellites to USALS for the motor to move

Does the motor have to be able to accept USALS? The motor's box says "GO TO X"
Thanks

USALS is a calculation that is performed by the receiver then the receiver issues a command to the motor to move (or go to "X" position). Since your motor is Go to X compatible it will work with the USALS calculation program.

It is important to note the difference between USALS and DiSEqC 1.2 modes. In the USALS mode, the receiver calculates the correct position of the selected satellite then issues a DiSEqC command telling the motor to move to a position that is "X" number off pulses to the East or West of the Zero point registered in the motor. A DiSEqC 1.2 command simply tells the motor to go to position #"X" that has been previously stored in one of the motor's memory positions by the installer during the set-up.

Is "Go To X" the same as USALS?
