PIP working when Sling is...?

Maybe I missed this somewhere, but after using the Hopper for several days with the Sling Adapter I have had a interesting experience today.
With the 922 you could not PIP with sling activated. Today after some weirdness connecting with sling I finally connected, and to my surprise I was able to view PIP on the TV while Slinging to my computer, never seen that before. Since having the Hopper when using Sling until today, a message would appear on the TV indicating remote access being used, just like the 922 did.
Today no screen message and PIP works while using Sling, new to me. Is this the way the Hopper is suppose to work or is this something new or something else? A foot note, only two channels are available on the 3 screens and if the primary or left side screen is the same as Sling, Sling freezes on the computer, flip and it comes back....very weird, I'm confused....?

I think it is because I am Slinging something that was in PIP. Yea that was it and is it. Oh well... Never seen it before though and I use PIP lots.

Hopper has two decoders to support PIP. Sling needs a decoder also which prevents PIP and Sling at the same time.

I don't think that's right. The Sling Adapter decrypts, transcodes, and re-encrypts mpeg-whatever video apparently using the 3rd Hopper tuner. No decoder is used on the Hopper itself, leaving the two (?) it has for PIP.

Only two channels are available on the 3 screens and if the primary or left side screen is the same as Sling, Sling freezes on the computer, flip and it comes back. This is not the way the 922 worked, when Sling was engaged PIP was bumped to a single screen with the RA message.

Why does the sling use one of the pip tuners in the first place?

If pip is in use two of the tuners are busy

If nothing is using the third one why would sling no use it?
