I have added a few pictures to show the correct way to setup the Latitude angle on a DG380 motor. The motor is used on a 120cm dish which has a C/KU band LNBF and a conical scalar ring.

Most of the Satmex C-band FTA channels are coming fine with this arrangement.

I just was looking at this on Facebook. How well is the KU band received using the KU/C LNBF on the 120cm dish? When I tried last year C-band was received ok, but the KU band was not so good. I eventually got it to perform better, but not as good as with a standalone KU band LNBF.

Did the conical scalar ring improve signal strength? I tried this today, but the results were disappointing. It performed better without the conical scalar ring.

When I optimize mine for C-band, I lose Ku band altogether . That's okay with me, since I have two other motorized Ku dishes . I should have bought a dual out C-band lnbf instead of the CK-1 .

The C/KU LNBF is not optimized 100% yet on the dish. So far I am getting both C & KU. However, I need to tweak the C-band more to improve the signal across the arc. I know the dish is aligned well using just KU band LNBF.

I will do some more testing and will let you know the results and impact the conical scalar ring does.

Yes, the facebook profile linked above has more pictures.

Thanks. I have seen a few posts in the past people asking how to setup the angle on the Sadoun Powertech motors. This picture will hopefully clarify it. :)

HAHA Like me! Only took me a week to get it right, but I haven't had to touch it since.
