This is the dish I got for FREE yesterday, in Dublin, Ca from an Ice Skating Rink, they were going to throw it away. Which motor will work for this Dish. I measured it, it is wide 39.5 inches and height 29.9.
Pete, was it alot of work to add the Invacom, i have one also!PSB said:Same 40" Primestar as I have
(Seen in the middle below)
GREAT Dish I have mine fixed on Pas 9 with an Invacom Universal LNBF right now
Yes! just need some cement blocks to secure if from moving, I guess I will use this one only for G10!, and that depends on the picture quality.BKP said:Very nice score especially with that ground mount..
Pete! you have any more pics of your H-H mount, and does it scan the whole orbit?PSB said:Nice! The down side with the 40" dish is the dish does not rotate to skew, I have mine on a poor mans H to H mount for now. BIG difference in signal quality when you skew the WHOLE dish and not just the LNBF (Of course)
PSB said:Yes the "Poormans H to H Mount" scans the whole arc
Been using this method for years in the UK before coming here![/QUOTh
Thnks Pete!
are you using the original lnb that was attached to the dish?waters said:M r. Crane
I live in Santa Cruz and have a Primestar pointed at G10. It works great! KEG's comes in at 59 or 60 on a pansat. It would hardly come in on my motorized dish
