Nice shot. How do you like your Digital Rebel XT? I've got a Nikon D70 and a D200 that I like a lot. Maybe I'll post an Indy photo here sometime.

Danica Patrick

I like the digital rebel so far except I still cant get it to focus and zoom correctly in full auto mode. I shot in manual all sunday with it and gots lots of good pictures especially of Sarah Fisher and Danica. I still have to learn alot about it. I bought the camera at Wal Mart on Friday just for the race and If i dont like it I have 30 days to return it. I do want to try the Nikon and Olympus Digital SLR's

They had the stage for driver intros between the grandstand and track fence so it was easy to get a couple of good shots.

Please post a couple of indy shots those would be good.

Any chance of posting a few of the non auto-focused shots? Maybe we could all look at them and see what might be at issue. Maybe the auto focus was focusing on something other than your intended subject?

You really should learn to use the manual exposure modes. You will have significantly more control over your photos, which in the end, will help you produce better pics. Also, in the manual modes, you can shoot in RAW, so almost no matter how you mess it up, you can fix it in PhotoShop.

And stick with Canon. In the long run, you will be much happier than with the Nikon, and certainly happier than with the Olympus. With any new Canon body, I can use just about any lens built in the last 20+ years. So, no matter what glas I buy, I know I can always upgrade the body. Also, the Canon does a MUCH better job at high ISO settings than the Nikon does.

You're entitled to your opinion but, having used both, I'll stick with Nikon. Regardless, Canon and Nikon both make damn fine cameras and lenses. You won't be making a mistake by choosing either manufacturer.

Danica

I was using manual focus but I always seem to bump the fine focus and get a little off focus, I will post a few more when I get home.
