picture,no sound on amc 3

on the this network channel on amc 3,i have picture but no sound. i've entered the vid and aid numbers,but still no audio. any suggestions on what to do?

ThisTV is AC-3 audio so you need a receiver that decodes dolby digital and an audio receiver that can do the same thing too

Or a HD receiver will do the trick

using a fortec ultra,but recently bought a coolsat 5000. will the coolsat decode the audio,i've not used it yet?

both will decode the audio but you need a audio receiver that can decode it too

The affiliates for thisTV on G18 are not AC3 audio. The Fortec should be fine if you have ku band capability.

correct Corrado. The C-Band feed is AC-3 but the KU ones arent

I forgot that WNGS on G3C-95°W C band, is a thisTV affiliate. Perhaps you could try that while it lasts. I don't know how long it will remain there.
