Picture freezes

Can any one explain this to me?
I haveaVIP211 with EHD and some times the HD picture freezes but the sound is ok.
If I go the the guide the picture is ok and as long as I don't change the channel it stays ok. Now in the past two days this problem has not happened.
It seems very strange.

I've been noticing picture freezes on a 722 and a 612 receiver with the HD channels. Sound is OK, but picture just freezes and then it comes back.
