So I just got a H3, installed the anywhere app, play with it, all seems good; until the wife tries to so the same thing and she gets a message that the max devices (5) are authorized.
I go and look and my phone is listed 5 times.
I deauthorize mine 4 times, and all seems good, until I star the app again on my phone, it fills In all available slots again.
I have rebooted my phone, uninstalled & reinstalled the anywhere app, same thing still happens.

Anyway to stop it?

What happens when you completely deauthorize your phone, and let your wife authorize her device first? Can you still reauthorize your phone?

I can deauthorize my phone, got her added, now hers is in there twice, and mines in there 3.
I even tried doing it via pin code vs name & password ; same thing is happening.

On my Hopper menu, I only see 1 listing for 1 phone, and it won't unpaired.

I can deauthroize in the phone app itself, or online at dishanywhere.com; but it reconnects multiple times once opening app again.

I guess if I need to, i'll just have everyone open the app at the same time after removing all the devices...???

I think it's also messing up with my ability to transfer recordings. When I click transfer, it says added to que, but only 25% of the shows (1 of 4) have ever transferred to my devise. When I click transfer again, it says its in my que. Hours later its still not on my phone.

Back from the dead. I only show 3 devices authorized within the app. The other day it was crashing on the device I was using. Then it would say someone else was using the dish in the living room (which no one was). It was also asking to check the internet connection. I have the Hopper with sling.

You said you "just got" an H3. When was "just got"? They take 24-72 hrs to get settled for all functions to work properly.
