Hi, am trying to replace an old round, single lnb dish with a phase 3 triple lnb into a r 15 receiver. I have 2 coax running to the dish and a separate multiswitch and b band converters if needed. Any advice on swapping out the dish would be appreciated. Thanks, in advance, for any help. Chris

:welcome to Satelliteguys Chris!

The single lnb round type dish points at the 101 satellite, but the Phase III points to 110, so you have to move it slightly to the west. Also, the skew must be set correctly. The coordinates can be gotten here: www.dishpointer.com No multiswitch or b band converters are necessary if you are only connecting one dvr, but you do need two lines from the dish. Good luck, and come on back if you need any more help!

since the R15 is SD only you do not need the B Band converters

Why do you want to upgrade the dish from the single to a Phase III if you dont mind me asking? If you dont need 119 you can leave the skew on the dish at 90 (straight) and just move the dish a little bit to hone in on 101 properly

AND.........he will need two of the four interchangeable outputs for his R 15.........right?
AND.............the coordinates are, as Chip said, for the 110. Subtract nine degrees for the 101. OR plumb the mast....correctly set the published tilt & elevation. Have someone at the TV watching the signal meter set on 101. Swing the dish through the published azimuth SLOWLY. When something happens shout, "Ya got 'er now...no, go back,....no, the other way. . .
