Is Sather serious? Peter Nedved is coming to camp to tryout? The guy was brutal two years ago in Philadelphia, and just as bad playing in the Czech league last year.

Sather talks about the positives of not bringing back Jagr, Avery or Shanahan, talking about a younger, faster team...and then he invites Peter Nedved to tryouts? The guy is as lazy as can be, doesn't even know who his own goaltender is, and he's talking about playing the third line???

If Nedved makes the team over a Nigel Dawes or Lauri Korpikoski, or takes even one minute of playing time away from Brandon Dubinski, Sather must be court-martialed right there on the spot.

How did this guy, who spent six years trying to ruin the team, then somehow woke up and did some good moves for two years, forget all about hockey all over again? This is going to be a long, painful year...

Three words- lack of sugar.

Anyway...

NEDVED??

Seriously.... this guy?

He ended a long playoff game in 1996- other than that, he has done NOTHING.

BTW, it's a tryout- he may flop miserably.

I will say this- if the Icelanders gave Nedved a tryout, lord only knows how hard you'd be laughing.

Speaking of old guys, Doug Weight, a man I once respected as an Oiler and you admired as a Blueshirt, has signed with.....

Whats up with Shanny ?
Did he move on to another team ?
I must have missed it.
He didn't retire, did he ?

He too is a classy guy :)

Had a lot of fun watching him in the Winged Wheel ...
Could he be coming back ?
