A new DVB-S2 won't break the bank. Probably one of the best values in modern consumer electronics considering what they do. There was a time only "a few short decades ago" when you needed a huge budget just to receive old fashioned analogue satellite signals from the sky.

Kraken? There's a name brand. If you don't know a lot about something, follow the crowd. Think Geosatpro, Azbox, etc. like you see in the signatures of most on this forum. After you get experience, then you can try some unknown receivers.

Haven´t heard of Kraken, but I´m sure you´ll make a good investment in a DVB S2 capable receiver, those mentioned above will do a nice work to get those PBS channels

I'd pass. go with a 'known value' THey don't require purchase of another tuner for DVB-S2 8PSK. The above listed are used by members here so any 'hiccup' can be easily remedied. A few other members are from the same country as you. They use 'em also. :-/

Receiver specifications don't tell the whole storey. Don't forget about after sales support and firmware updates.
Do your research. Have you googled it and seen what comes back?
