Pay for DVR if you own the box?

Im thinking of buying a vip222 (or possibly the dvr version). I currently have 1 vip222 and a dual tuner SD DVR. I have to pay the monthly fee to have the dvr access but if i own the receiver would they know if it is a dvr? I use it to record maybe 2 shows a week and don't want to pay for it anymore.

Yes, they would. Long story short. I own my 625. And I get charged the monthly DVR fee.
