I know Orbitron has long went out of business, but im looking for something I can use to replace the Zip Strips that hold down the mesh on the arms. They are very brittle and are breaking off. Just a shot in the dark but I thought someone might have ran into this before.

Thanks
allen

Those zip ties are cheap and available at hardware and electronic stores. There's nothing special about them. I just replace the ones breaking off. Have fun.

I called them zip strips for lack of a better word. They run the length of the arms and snap into a 1/4 inch grove. They are about 5 feet long. If you look at them from the end they are T shapped. The bottom of the T snaps into the 1/4 inch grove and the top of the T holds down mesh on both sides.

Maybe that wil be a little clearer.

Punch small holes (1/8 inch) in the mesh either side of the Lock Strip
(official Orbitron name) and secure everything with a black cable tie.
Get one long enough to go around the entire rib, or put two together.
Tighten as needed and cut off excess. Put a few of these in where needed,
and leave things in place.

Otherwise, you could also get some Silicone and dab on the back side of the
strip to secure it better.
