Hello all,
I have had my pansat 9200HD FTA box for almost a year now.
I upgraded to the newest software 1215 version I think it is. Got an S2 board for it.

Now It says some channels are scrambled even when they are not.
There are a couple of channels on the G10R KU equity mux that reports scrambled even though I know they aren't.

Is anyone else having this issue with the new software release?

My other older receivers are fine so I know the channels are in the clear as they always are from equity.

I'm having this problem (still), and I'm running 1216. It also happens on G3, and it irks me that it does it on WNGS on both satellites (including G10 ku). On G28 it was doing OK with 1215, but now with 1216 it's doing it on G28. Difference is on G28 I can arrow up or down and it comes in (usually?), sometimes it takes a few more tries.
I think the real problem is that we need Bigger Dishes in order to get more reliable S2 signals, or maybe go to a much lower Stability Rating LNB...????

that was the conclusion i came to... and its why i swapped out my 7 1/2 fter for my 10 fter
the 7 1/2 fter will be back in service in a week or two :) for regular scanning
that will give me 2 c-band dishes & 2 ku dishes :)

i have the pansat 2700 a and sometimes i have channels say no signal but if i hit the program it finealy comes right in

It can't be the signal I don't think anyway because I have high quality readings.
This box is so quirky since the software upgrade. It was much more stable with the 1204 software.

I am constantly having to power it down and re-boot. Yes WNGS is showing scrambled. I can go in the bedroom and turn on the old Fortec Ultra on WNGS and it works fine (from the same dish with a multiswitch).

Quite honestly for the money I paid for this box and then adding the S2 kit, for having nearly $600.00 in this FTA receiver it just isn't giving me my money's worth.

I love the HD reception from it. It just locks up too much.

Got an S2 board for it.

Did you get the S2 board working finally?

I watch WNGS every night without a problem. The only thing on that channel I notice is that Night Gallery has a very soft looking appearance to it. I was thinking of watching it on another receiver to see if it was the 9200, WNGS, or the program.

I cannot lock WNGS (audio only) and scrambled channel message.

I upgraded to 1216 from pansatusa.com

S2 is not working at all. I can't lock a thing with that board. I think I got $crewed!

They sent me a different looking board but it does not work on any of the listed FTA s2 stuff.

It is installed properly according to directions. This new board they sent is probably another piece of junk hack board tuner.
I don't know but can only assume since it does not tune any FTA signals. I have to say I learned my lesson buying tuner boards from ebay. I should have known that all those dealers just sell hack stuff and heaven forbid they sell a good quality legit tuner board.

I don't own one but what I understand that the real Macoy S2 board from Pansat works well. It's a shame that people get taken advantage of by the hackers. When dealing with any FTA gear its best to get it from a company that deals with TRUE FTA, not what the hackers call FTA.

Im sick of the bad name these hackers have given FTA :(

Yes, it sucks! I mentioned free to air to a friend of mine the other day that i have not seen in a couple of years. He says" Oh no! ....You don't want to do that-It's illegal".
I thought Gee whiz...I am going to have to explain the difference again.

Hi Truckracer: I have used maney HD FTA receivers, an the Pan-9200 is very buggie, with its soft-ware, hope that they will get it together an fix alot of their bugs. now just last week played with another pan-9200 (manufactors date July 2008 with the DVB-S2 board software 2016), an compared it with the a Pan-9000 on the same 10ft dish, an I do got to say that the 9000 (software 1013) had better signal, an would lock on lower Q levels an play with out pixeling, lock alot faster, an both have great video out of them. also on the DVB-s2 signals both receivers displayed same signal, an lock a channel just about the same.

Now are you sure that you have a DVB-S2 board from Panerax, an are the plugs pushed all the way in the S2 board an the main board, an that the board is not grounding out when you put the 2 nuts on the F-81's. also on the S2 board their is a in an a loop out of that board (hackers board only has 1 f-81 on it) an it comes with a short cable that you go from loop out of the 9200 to the in on the S2 board. now the 9200 that i had here locked on Gal-14 asap (have to us a different SR than is listed on lyngsat). but with the 9200 had no problem at all with any of the S2 channels playing or locking them just fine.

Now I am new here but have been dealing with satellites for along time, just been back in the weeds here. but hope that you find out why no S2 signals, cause their is alot of things we watch here that are S2.
Good Luck

Truckracer - Maybe contact Pansat to see if the one you have, is what they sell?
If it is, maybe get them to exchange it for you?

I know you won't be going back to your dealer again, since he was so nice to you before. :(

Captain - what sort of dish 'n LNB are you using?

HA! ... just a FYI, I was looking for some equipment last week and that dealer had what I needed at a great price. I passed em up and paid about 15% more elsewhere and have to wait an extra few days for shipping. I thought about emailing him and telling him so, but decided not to bother, as he obviously has his head so far up his rear-end that he wouldn't even care.

Anole Its a 10-foot Channel Master, w/Channel Master H to H mount, an a BSC-621-2, the Pan 9000 drives an runs it by its self, NO SLAVE wife gets mess up working a slave receiver.
