Pansat 9200HD and DirecTivo Remotes

I have a Pansat 9200HD and realized very quickly after installing it that the remote from my HR10-250 controls the Pansat. My wife was changing channels on the HR10 and my Pansat was changing too. Apparently the Pansat box doesn't know how to filter the HR10 remote commands because the HR10 box is not affected by any of the Pansat remote commands.
I contacted Pansat but they didn't really have a fix other than telling me to buy a UHF remote and block the IR on the front of the box.
I ended up using one of those RF transmitters that goes in the battery slot of the remote and covering the front of the Pansat.
Anyway, just a heads up for anyone with an HR10 or and R10 thinking of getting one of these.

honestly it seems to be any box. My Coolsat 5000 if I hold the volume button or about 4 other buttons it kicks the Pansat on. The Starchoice box doesnt do that but the CS seems to make the Pansat kick on all the time

yeah, pansat 3500 would respond to my onkyo remote when chaging volume or menu buttons

Yes - Pansat needs to do something to eliminate these types of issues.
