Pansat 3500s

Hi everyone, I am looking for some good advice on setting up my new 3500s. I have not received it yet but I am hearing that I could screw it up if I don't run the correct programs or if I don't do a proper setup. I bought the unit on e-bay and since then I see some units already coming pre programed. I don't think minje is and I will have to program it myself.
What if anything could go wrong?
Is there a setup instruction somewhere that I could access?
