over heat question

i was looking at my history, at it's said the receiver been rebooted like month ago because of a over heating issue, what can i do? my room is very hot and small. is this issue dangerous? thanks

How hot is too hot depends on which receiver you have

That's cool. My HR24-500 is in a room at 83F and it reports 124F.
Showing no signs of overheating.

Overheating is often caused by stacking one component on the other OR putting stuff on top of the receiver like papers or books. Receivers should never feel too hot to touch.Overheating defects are rare.

right now we air conditioner on, but normally at night my room can petty hot, but for me i am just cold person, but i just want to make sure its can't ruin my DVR

My Hr20's ran about 116-127* fine.
My HR24's run 108* to about 116*.

If your recvr is running 108*, thats fine, your good to go.
