Outdoor Channel (ch. 606), a Plus?

Outdoor Channel (ch. 606) is now showing up in my Plus package. Normally you have to add the $10-plus Sports to get OUTCH, along with the likes of ESPNU and NBA TV, among others.

Has Outdoor Channel been moved to the Plus package on DirecTV?

(P.S. Tuesday evening I noticed from Zap2It's Web site, Outdoor Channel 2 HD [ch. 606] showing up -- and that leads me to believe it may be added any day now; perhaps on Wednesday, Oct. 17.)

Yes, myself & several others noticed this too on dbstalk.
And, I believe it's because TOD & D* cut a deal to move it into the + tier, so that they can have another HD channel included in the "HD access fee", w/out having to sub to the extra SP just to get this 1 HD channel.

it has a notice on it said Outdoor channel Free Preview has Ended.

Outdoor Channel HD has been testing for some time now. Its just a matter of when they flip the switch Other channels testing are PBS in various markets.

Is there any information on which markets PBS is being tested in? Right now the only HD OTA channels available in Atlanta that we don't get on D* are the two PBS affiliates...

No word on which ones, but when DirecTV 11 starts service this summer/early fall we should see alot of them quickly.

DirecTV announced an agreement to carry PBS HD in most markets "soon" a few months ago.

You now need the Sports Pack (or Premier) for this channel but it apparently is also available a la carte.

Is there any information on which markets PBS is being tested in? Right now the only HD OTA channels available in Atlanta that we don't get on D* are the two PBS affiliates...

According to Newshawk's list, PBS in HD is carried in the Anchorage, Fairbanks and Honolulu markets.

Yup, sure has for me too - sure would have been nice if D* had bothered to tell anyone it was ONLY a freebie.
