Outdoor Channel 606

Any info on why DIRECTV now only has this channel in the Premier package? I have the Ultimate package and I recorded season 2 of "Life on the Edge" last fall with the last episode airing on Nov. 29, 2024 and it recorded fine. I went to the channel a few days ago and I get the screen that I am not subscribed to it. I checked the channel list at the DIRECTV website for all packages that is dated Jan. 10, 2025 and it shows that channel is now only available in the Premier package.

Raising the asking price to get fewer eyeballs? Doesn't make sense to me but hey...whatever. I won't be switching from Ultimate to Premier for that one channel. I can't imagine many others will either.

Ahhhh...ok. I never even considered that as I had Sports Pack removed after the NFL regular season ended. I guess that means it was never in the Ultimate package.

This channel is typically in some sort of add-on package and may or may not be included in the top-level package.

Even a service named Freecast makes it part of a $3.99/month package that includes Sportsman Channel and World Fishing Network (among other entertainment channels).

The only way to get the Outdoor Channel via DIRECTV is by Sports Pack. The only package it is listed as having it is the Premier package which includes Sports Pack which is why it has it.
