Our Contract end again

The H3 is the latest, top of the line receiver. No new ones out there.

After the H3, anything from DTV or a cableco will be a big disappointment.

reviving this thread. contract is indeed up I did an interactive chat with someone today who said they would lock me in at a "good deal" same equipment new 2 year lock in 150.00 a month. Umm.. I have been paying 120.00 a month. doesn't sound like a deal she said I could have a 7 $ credit on my bill for the next 3 months not sure what that's all about but what's going on? do I need to call and talk to someone in account services? do I need to switch back to DirectTV?
what about a new contract with new equipment? out stuff is 5+ years old. it's a hopper 3 with sling and joey 3's 4 of them. help me make sense of actually taking my time and calling into to talk to a person and poke the bear or talk to someone from DirectTV?
If you want a better deal, call in, say you are canceling to go to YouTube TV for $73 a month, bet you get better deals then.

Even with a new contract, or a total new subscriber for that matter, you are NOT getting new equipment

Dropping a Joey or two will get the bill down. Can you Dishanywhere more effectively with less equipment?

Well, I called them today and they said they would lock me in on a rate for a 2-year contract. I dropped down from the 250 to 200 package on programming and my bill only went up $5.00 a month from the previous contract keeping all the salve receivers too. :)
this is a decent deal. I had the drop down in the programming package in the back of my mind even before I called them and I don't have to rely on my crappy internet/wifi in the house dealing with the dish anywhere app which does work in the house I put it on one of my apple boxes and it works decent not sure how many you can have running on the account at one time???
which brings me to another topic all in the same thread feel free to add any suggestions. here is my internet speed and currently besides the internet I'm using I'm streaming Thursday night football Black Friday edition on prime while I was running the test.
I have a Lynksys router EA7500V2 does anyone have any suggestions to a better router that may not bottle up my internet speeds. I know I'm limited to what's coming into the house and the modem but anything that will not slow the speeds down any further
I have Spectrum Cable internet I'm just outside of Buffalo NY.

As it shows in your speed test, you have plenty of speed for streaming, multiple TVs actually.

Now your router is quite old (about 7 years) and does not have good range, today is a good day to invest in a new one, without knowing the size of your home, cannot give a good recommendation.

For example, my house is 4800 Sq ft (then another 800 sq ft for the garage, no basement) but only about 700 sq ft are upstairs, so my house is quite long, I have to use 4 Routers to have top speeds in every part of the house.

I'm not worried about range house is a lot smaller than yours just under 2,000 Sq ft but including the finished basement that has equipment that streams in it it's 3 floors and I have WIFI out to the street and to the back of the yard I'm more worried about it knotting up the speed . the one I have right now is dual band wifi. and most of the stuff in the house is hard wired with cat 6 cable it goes through a trendnet 8 port switch in the basement. kids use the wifi on their phones and we have a couple Ipads all wifi not all used at the same time. but I do stream NHL hockey off an APP on one of out Apple boxes. so if you know of a better router than what I have let me know model or make I'm all ears!
