Ouch, a really bad day for pro wrestlers

The saddest thing, is everyone already knew how bad they are, but no one cares; do you think names coming out will change this? I hope so, this "sport" is the biggest farce. They are a great entertainment and marketing group like movies, and are hugely influential to our youth and need to be reigned in some of the antics and surely the drugs. I am mainly concerned with the 14 and under crowd.

I was wondering if these guys would go to jail? If we are not going to punish people then what is the point? I guarantee you that when athletes from all sports wind up behind bars this will stop. And it is the only way it will stop.

yep, I agree, but we need honest, reliable testing! My buddy watches WWE like its church. When I see Batista (sp?) and that big white farm boy from Minnesota that tried out for the Vikings (don't know name) I am more suspicious than any MLB or NFL player. At least they have testing.

Well SUPPOSEDLY they have testing/Wellness program in the WWE. Now, is there any discipline IF they break the rules of this wellness program? Who knows.....

Testing is great. But if found to have purchased steroids then jail them.

Many wrestlers may have perfectly legitimate prescription for steroids for injuries and such. Remember it's sports entertainment and not an actual competitive event so their is no reason for the promoters to ban the legal use of performance enhancing drugs.

I think everybody already knew that wrestlers took roids so it isn't that big of news to me.

From what I have read Kurt Angle was the one who got the most juice. He is not a WWE wrestler anymore he is with TNA, the others are Adam Copeland (Edge) Shane Helms (Formally known as The Hurricane) and Randy Orton who was injured at the time.

Hey if they have prescriptions from doctors that have seen their injuries then I have no problem with it. But you cannot look at Batista and not know he abuses them. He will probably die young just like Eddie. I am worried that a lot of these doctors are simply bought and paid for though.

They just mentioned these guys on ESPN.

Looks like some wrestlers are going to the how to lose 50 lbs of mussle mass in 14 days plan ...j/k

People know some wrestlers are on the juice.
Look at their freaking size. And backacne that you can see on 13 inch TV.

I know everyone thinks its funny but I ask you one thing? If we cant clean up these drugs in pro wrestling that are illegal and so obviously rampant then how foolish is it to think that we will ever clean it up in a sport like baseball that has to be dragged before congress before lifting a finger? Absolutely NOTHING is going to change until these athletes and doctors in some cases start getting jail time.

:up .....OMG....we agree!!!!!!

BBBUUUTTTT....I would hate some murderer get out early or a child molester get a early release just to send Barry Bonds to jail for juicin' and looking like the governator.....

I would guess (and it's only a guess) that the majority of sports is in some way "touched" by steroids and other "enhancing" products. The whole concept of becoming great and athletic is completely thrown off by the use of such things. Athletes who choose not to use them can not compete and therefore will not make the big bucks..........completely unfair. This is why I feel no desire to watch most big ticket sports, it's all a money grabbin' scam!!! Sports fans should feel ripped off 'cause that's what's happening!
Yes, they should be punished, perhaps not by jail time 'cause as salsadancer says, it ties up the courts unecessarily. They should not be allowed to play any "professional" sports or accept any form of payment for doing so. That would be a much better punishment than a few months in jail only to get out and still have millions stashed away.....Just my $.02

Go Mavs!!

Papelbon Heading Back... It did not take too long, uh?
