guys,

the other day i installed a directv system, h-10 and 2 d-10s.
subscriber had a huge ota antenna on a tower and only got one station. he paid me to install an amp, and after putting new connectors on his coax, we got 8 channels.

now my question, his wife loves WDVE FM out of pittsburgh pa . it is a 50,000 watt classic rock powerhouse.
no matter wich way we turned the rotor , and no matter if i switched the fm trap to in or out, we could barely hear it.

i tuned it to my truck stereo and it was rockin'. any clues or advice?

i told him to get a large directional yagi and an fm rated amp and try that, what do you think?

The amp is over-driving a strong FM station signal. The FM trap should have made some positive difference as it attenuates the FM frequencies. I'd suggest your sub purchase a Rat Shack variable attenuator and install it on the input to his/her FM receiver. Adjust in more attenuation as needed to get a clear signal.

Alternatively, split the signal at the antenna and run a separate, non-amplied, coax line to the FM receiver.
