I had Voom moto box.
Will any of the SC boxes intergrate the OTA the same way?
I called Kusat and they said no. Do Canadians not use antennas?
I'm looking for the knowledgable second opinion here.
Thanks

probably not

I see they have a OTA spot but you have to remember, unless you live in Toronto area or Vancouver area, OTA reception is spotty. Most stations are translators (except for major cities) so OTA isn't needed.

The DSR530 and the never released DSR580 are the same hardware. (The SC DSR500 and DSR550 are not the same - only the box is). Initial DSR530s are shipping without the 2 ATSC tuners installed because the SC/Motorola firmware never supported ATSC unlike the Voom/UCentric firmware.

Supposedly at some future point, SC will implement an ATSC firmware update

All great information.
So I should wait or just get a cheap system for now to test out the service.
