I have a hopper 3, two WiFi Joeys connected. Considering OTA connection to installed antenna. Will local channels from OTA adapter be available on Joeys?
When you add an antenna to an OTA adapter on the Hopper 3 you will see the OTA channels on the Joeys. You can view up to 2 channels at any given time. So, if you are watching an OTA channel on the Hopper you can watch another on one of the Joeys. If you are recording an OTA channel that will take up one of those tuners and you can watch that channel that is recording and can only watch or record one other.I have a hopper 3, two WiFi Joeys connected. Yes, you are correct, I made that assumption. I don't know if the single is still available anywhere. If so, like Krell says, don't do that! You are assuming the OP won't buy a single-tuner dongle. Jacob, please don't do that! And buy the white AirTV dual tuner adapter for half the price of the black Dish-branded one. It has the same guts.
You will be OK, you just spent a bit more than you needed to.Well, I did get a dual tuner dongle, but I did not get the white AirTV dual tuner adapter, I bought mine from Dish.
