Osd Teletext ?

What exactly is it ? and do we get this here in N. America.
My Coolsat supposedly supports this, has anyone ever seen this.

North America doesnt use teletext, sadly

I thought OSD was the info displayed when you hit the info button or when you change a channel. I'm thinking it stands for Operating System Display. There is a way in some receiver's to change the transparency of it. And, actually we do get teletext, but we do not get program information. At least not in this part of the world for FTA.
