If you miss SatelliteGuys Radio we have GOOD NEWS Orlando and Scott are BACK ON THE AIR!

This week we launched a new radio station called My Newington Radio. It is a station which will be used by the community in which Newington is headquartered and is also broadcast on 1620 in the Town of Newinigton.

Now if you remember correctly the reason we shut down SatelliteGuys Radio was because we couldn't afford the royalties anymore. SatelliteGuys Radio was a victim of its own success. Within a few weeks of shutting the station down we were paid all the money owed to us by the advertising agency, it was over a year of revenue that we received.

Then a few weeks later our audio hosting company and ad agency noticed we were not broadcasting anymore... and they made me an offer which I could not refuse... they wanted us back on the air and they are paying all the hosting costs and for all the licensing of the music!

Over the past 6 months I have been working on a new website called MyNewington.COM and after i was paid by the ad agency I obtained a Part 15 AM transmitter and was planning on launching My Newington Radio as an AM only Part 15 station. Because of its limited signal length music licensing is not required. But now with this offer we have the best of both worlds, AM and Internet.

So if you miss us then come and listen to us. I am on the air from 7 to 11 AM ET and Orlando is on in the Afternoons from 11 until 5. Both of us will be playing the greatest hits from the 60's until today.

I hope you will tune in. http://www.mynewingtonradio.com - There link is also available in the OUR OTHER SITES link at the top of the page. :D

Why would they do this? They get some expense but no revenue? Or the ads were more lucrative than thought?

Nothing yet Eurosport. As part of making this a community station I am working with the high school and other town organizations so that they will program things after 7pm with things like football games, town council meetings etc. once that is figured out then I will know where I can add things. :)

And after these 2 events, the decision to NOT start SatelliteGuys Radio back up was because.....?
(Was just thinking a little more about all this)

Because the Part 15 AM station was already in motion and would have been using the equipment. (Part 15 stations do NOT need to pay royalties since their signal is so small.)

Being able to broadcast on the internet and have royalties paid after we were setup with the AM Station was a nice surprise and a great blessing. :D

I am thinking about starting up an internet radio station
