OPPO OPDV971H vs Toshiba HD-A1 for upsampling

I hear great things about the OPPO for upsampling video, but might be tempted to try the new HD player if it is just as good. The OPPO uses a chip by Faroudja for upsampling. What does the Toshiba use and how does it compare? Is this an important issue? 99% of my DVD's will not be HD for quite some time.
