There is no need to use a power transformer with the Openbox. It only requires the adapter that physically changes the plug to fit U.S. outlets.

That's what I told the wife on the phone, a "plug adapter", but she came home with a Power Transformer. If I had plugged it in with the transformer, it would have damage the unit?. Thanks for your answer and time.

There is nothing special about the US plug adapter if yours is missing. One could just cut the Euro plug off and put a "replacment plug" available at any hardware store. Don't worry about the voltage. The OpenBox is designed to operate directly from most any voltage or Hz world wide.
For those of you yet to buy an OpenBox, some dealears offer a free plug adapter and HDMI cable. Shop around.

You Know, I usually Shop Around until I find the best deal, but this time, I rushed and I see now Sadoun is the worst price and deal "out there" atm.

I'd like to thank everyone for their help and advice and sharing of knowledge. The Box is receiving and looks like fun. (but I'm not done picking yet)
I'd like to hook it up via HDMI to the Big TV (hometheatre sys has no HDMI plug) . We've always had the dsr-922 split to the bedroom via coxial so I'd also like to split the OpenBox content to the bedroom TV (not HD, only has 3-plug component). SO will the Openbox let HDMI and COMPONENT Video be used at same time). ANy ideas how to do this? My thought is to do HDMI to Plasma(4 vid), Component Audio to Home theatre sys for SOUND (covers Living Room). Now I'm lost (I think i need to SPLIT the COMPONENT-3plug (prior to hometheatre sys) and find a 30-40 component cable to run to a switch box in bedroom(I have a 4 switch Component 3-plug Box) - I have enough COAXIAL to run a second one through the floor-cellar-back up to bedroom (because I think a 40foot component cable is a longshot), then I could use an Old COAXIAL switch box to switch receivers on that TV, but How would I hook COAXIAL to the OB/SSO?
