Openbox Openbox S9 User Manual?

Looking for an Openbox S9 user manual. I've got two of those and both boxes are behind me on the shelf but so help me I can't find either of those manuals here in my shop??? I know I had them at one time cuz I'm a pack rat and never EVER throw anything away but so help me I can't find either of them anywhere? Oh, I know, I bet the Wife threw them away!! Yeah, that's what happened! [/rolleyes]

Oh, and FYI yes, I did download the Skybox manual but the remote with that one is nothing like the S9 remote so it doesn't do me any good at all.

Ennywho, if anyone has a PDF of that S9 manual that they could let me have I'd appreciate it.

Well, there must have been two different remotes used on these S9 boxes because the one I have doesn't look anything like the one in the pictures in this manual?? In fact, it appears to be the exact same picture as what is shown in the Skybox manual?? What I'm looking for is the button that controls the "Jump" function that appears in in the PVR setup menu. The Micro HD has that function and I have it set for 30 second jumps to fast forward through commercials. Since the operation of these receivers are so similar I figure that option should be available on the Openbox S9 too but I can't find which button does that?? Reason I'm trying to find this is because one of my last two Micro HD receivers is still screwing up and I'm trying to find out if the Openbox S9 will play back those recordings with the skip/jump forward function still working, IF, I can ever get it to work at all that is.

Well the eBay link says the remote runs several models. The Manual indicates the "Prev" and "Next" buttons run the Jump feature. Did you try the left and right arrow keys next to the OK button? Or maybe it's the << and >> keys.

Well, I've pushed every damn button on that thing and haven't noticed that happening. I'll look at it again in the morning and see if those keys work or not and let you know.

UPDATE: No "prev" or "next" buttons on this remote? And the right and left arrow keys on each side of the "OK" button raise and lower volume. The >>/<< keys are both for fast forward and pressing them more than once raises the speed..............no jump. I've also tried it with "Time Shift" on and off in the PVR Settings menu and still "jump" doesn't work.

RE: The remotes I have..................According to the Ebay ad it's a "generic" remote and not specifically for this receiver. The Openbox S9 manual shows a completely different remote than what I have. IIRC the first one of these that I bought was "New In The Box" and it came with this Universal remote?? The second one I got was a "Refurb" and it also had the exact same remote with it?? WTF!!

So, having said all that, I guess that function is not available to me with these receivers. Oh well, the S9 WILL play programs recorded by the Micro HD and that Micro HD will play programs recorded by the S9 so I think I got enough junk here to be able to replay the TON of stuff I have recorded from both.

But hey, thanks for trying to help out. Don't know what I'd do without you guys!!
