Hello,
newbie here but somewhat technical and have been a Dish customer for over 10 years but I haven't messed with any of it for a long time, just been using it! I currently have a 722K in the basement that is tied to my Sony HD tv with a coax cable running from the reciever to a second tv in another room. Everything has worked fine like that since I bought the 722. I now want to add a 3rd tv in an upstairs bedroom, and have worked my way into a bit of confusion on the best way would be to get the dish signal to a tv that I haven't bought yet ( suggestions on what would work best appreciated on that too). Can I simply add a wireless USB stick to the 722 and buy a tv with builtin wifi? Is there another better way, this has all become confusing! HELP!!
Thank you,

Jeff

The coax you got running to the 2nd tv put a splitter in there and run a coax to tv 3. Now your realize tv 3 will have the same pix as tv2. If you go into the modulator setup and enable tv1 modulated output you can watch whats on tv 1 If you dont want to share the channels with tv1 or 2 you need another receiver. Im not a fan of wireless video senders. No magic USB hookup to the receiver to send your signal. Its called a slingbox to hook up to your internet and I dont know if you want to go there.

Thanks DJacobson. By the way, my father-in-laws first name is Don and he has your same last name! Running the coax upstairs to the other tv will be tough and I want that to be the last resort. so If I buy a tv with wifi and a sling box I could watch programming from the 722, with the sling box attached? Sorry for the silly question, just trying to learn more.

Absolutely don't do this because the sling adapter uses your tv2 tuner. Also ive never seen a smart tv that works with slingadapter/dishonline. IF you were to do this, it would be better to get a cpu with HDMI out going to ur tv, which there are much better options. plus unless you have an awesome broadband connection you could kiss your bandwidth goodbye.

Would be much more reliable to just mirror your tv with coax and get another UHF remote. if you want ability to change channels seperately upstairs, you can do an upgrade for a 2 year commitment or just buy a SD receiver with no commitment, DISH sells them very cheap now, even the SD DVR's. Although both are SD alternatives. If you want HD or you could upgrade to a hopper joey system or do an upgrade for an HD receiver. :) I just went through all this myself, plenty of options, only you know whats best for you.
but seriously don't do the sling thing for the 3rd tv.
