older c band analog receiver

hello, does any one know when/or how long a GI 2750 ird c band analog receiver has been out, also would a vc II module currently in it might still be good, could always use a spare, also it doesn't come with a remote or manual, but can't you program them from using the buttons on the front panel until a remote was located, i think there are places on the net i could print off a copy of the manual.
its at a thrift store for a really good cheap price and was thinking of buying.
any help guys

it would work good for analog KU/C-Band

if you can get a remote or find a universal it would be worth it

Older receiver

I have a GI 2730 receiver and I bought it in 1991 and it is still working,plus I still have the manual for it and I could scan the pages you need and e-mail them to you if you cannot find a manual for it.

hello again, what color of board would possibly be in the receiver, i plan/hope to take back cover off and take a peek before i buy, also does anyone know or someone here on the site change out the battery in these older ones, if so how long are they good for before they need changed again, could i possibly ship it to you and that be done for a fee.
