OK, not a critical matter, but seeing how well Dish keeps up with the latest logos when the media company changes them (GREAT JOB on that Dish), so the Hopper has the up to date channel logos, it has really puzzled me why both TiVo and Rovi have a different, and more recent, I believe, CBS TV logo. I speak of the CBS logo for my local CBS station. I do believe CBS changed their CBS-TV logo some 5 years ago to a more straight-edged boxy look with corners of letters being more abrupt and looking more like a squarish than the old one and with the entire logo, eye and all, being all silver in color. That is what is displayed by both TiVo and Rovi, and TiVo changed to that newer logo years ago. The image on the right is what the current logo seems to be. The labels "1966" and "Current" we NOT added by me, but by the site Signal Noise on their webpage Inspiration CBS logo history: http://blog.signalnoise.com/2008/07/18/inspiration-cbs-logo-history/

This site also has the new logos and it dated back to 2010: http://www.userlogos.org/logo/bcm2009/02082010/cbscom

I think part of the problem is that CBS has NUMEROUS and different logos for its many other services such as CBS News, CBS Sprots, maybe even CBS corporate. All those logos are different from each other in significant ways. There really is no ONE, SINGLE standard logo for CBS, unlike ABC and NBC and even Fox.

However, I do think the all silver less cursive, more boxy CBS logo is the current one for the local stations, while they seem to use older ones for a variety of services.

Just an IMHO. I could be wrong. Either way, it would be nice to know if we have the correct CBS logo for the EPG.

It's correct for CBS NEWS and CBS Productions, but not for the logo for the local CBS station. However, you make a good point about the CBS logo used on Dish EPG being preferred because it shows better on the EPG. That could be the reason the proper current CBS station logo not being used. The letters are silver, and that would not show up on the silver background of the EPG, but Dish could use black for the letters (I've seen even CBS do that) so the new letters will show up against the silver and yellow background on the EPG.

As stated, there are many different current CBS logos for each part of the CBS business.

However, in contrast to that argument, have you seen the change of the HGTV logo on the EPG? It is fine on the banner, but one can not read it on the EPG. It's like lime green with the silver background. One can not see the actual letters or even logo, for that matter.

FWIW, I prefer the EPG coloring of the 922 and have always found the Hopper colors less pleasing to the eyes and bit more difficult to read. I also miss the Channel Search feature of the 922 where you can find a channel from its NAME. So, I would be willing to give up the proper CBS station in exchange for 922 colors and some of its features, as well :).
