Ohio State vs Michigan

The s**t is hitting the fan in all directions in this thread. You gotta love it. I sure hope both teams get to Nov. 18th undefeated. This year's showdown could go down as one of the greatest in history.

I hope they get to the game with M haveing 3 losses !!!

Not gonna happen, but it got peoples dander up, didn't it !

Well I guess you win the humor battle. Will you still be laughing after you lose to MICHIGAN? This is just the kind of low brow humor I'd expect from a second rate academic and athletic institution. No, seriously I'm just kidding, that was reall7y funnny stuff. Really loved the pic of the little kid "saluting".

Last year I hired two Virginia Tech graduates to help run various network security and information assurance initiatives at a client site. They are doing a fantastic job. The guy rotating my tires at the local Costco is a proud OSU graduate...so is the guy doing home improvement work next door. I guess they just don't need as many OSU grads to work at the Akron tire factory these days. It makes sense since all the MSU grads are losing their jobs on the assembly line.

Anyway, Michigan will savoring that sweet taste of victory come 18 November.:)

Only if the bus doesn't make it ...

Troy Smith plays his best games in the BIG games, and you already know that
Coach Tressel is also a big game coach, and is in Lloyds head.

Sorry Jimbo, it's not Tressel, it's all Troy Smith. I personnally will be glad to see him in the NFL. (Preferably on the Lions, as punishment for what he's done to Michigan.) GO BLUE!!!

I would have to say it's both ....
I would not say it's all Smith, Tressel has coached in many big games and won the majority.
btw, Tressel won the N.C. without Troy.

Univ of Spoiled Children went down today to Oregan State!! OSU-Michigan will be #1 vs #2!!

When was the last time #1 met #2 twice in the same regular season in college football???

Michigan and OSU win again, solidifing their hold on the top 2 spots. Michigan's defense continues to impress holding NW to -14 yds. rushing. Didn't Iowa and Michigan meet (no.1 and no.2) a few years ago? maybe 1997?

I was wondering when it happened twice in one season. OSU-Texas and barring miracle OSU-Mich. Anyone know?

I believe Michigan #2 and Iowa #1 played in 1985. Do you want to hear something really freaky...OSU, who beat #2 Texas...could potentially defeat #2 Michigan....only to once again face #2 Texas for the National Championship.

Other crazy stuff:

OSU beats Michigan in OT, only to see UM fall to #3 behind #2 Texas...a team OSU dismantled earlier in the season.

UM beats OSU on a last second field goal, only to see OSU fall to #3 behind #2 Texas....again, a team OSU handled earlier in the season.

Oh well...there's still more football to be played.

Theres also the thought that if M wins by a field goal, that they could play Ohio State if dropped only to # 2 for the Champoinship, now I doubt that OSU and M have ever played twice in a season and definatly not back to back.

Unless it is a blowout, don't expect OSU to be ranked below Texas. Human polls would remember Sept 9th. Its more likely that a Florida or undefeated BE is ranked above OSU
