Oh where Oh where are my HD locals???

I just read about getting the HD locals at 61.5. I already have a dish pointed there for VOOM.

I got my VIP622 installed last month (did it myself since service was a joke!). I had to call and cancel my install to get them to activate HD on my 622. In the process they told me I needed at dish at 129 for HD locals.

With the new info, what is the final answer? Can I get them with my existing setup? Do I need a 129 dish?

Anyone know how I can get my HD locals off of 61.5?

Assuming you're in chicago, yes those locals are on 129. If you want to do it yourself, you just need to move your 61.5 dish to point at 129

After re-reading the info, is it only DC that gets locals on 61.5?

chicagofilms, assuming you're from Chicago then your HD locals are at 129. You don't need a Dish 1000...just point your (Dish500) at 129.

So I'll still need 61.5, but can adjust the 500 to 119 & 129?

Do I no longer need 110?

No, it's 61.5 you don't need. Move the dish pointing there to 129. Lease the dish 500 pointing at 110/119 alone

That was my original plan, but I ended up confusing myself.
