Go to your guide and tell me if you see ESPNClassic and ESPNNewsHD. They are gone, as I said in my post.
I'm a 10+ year Dish customer and I usually sit quietly when Dish pulls this negotiation crap. Didn't say much when they dropped a couple of ESPN HD channels. I just I subscribed to the sports package for the extra college football, but most of the games aren't being carried on the local RSN channel in HD and I still haven't switched.
But if we lose the RSN channels, FX, and then in November, Fox News or any of the other Fox channels, I'm gone. As much as I like the Dish HD receivers (I have a 722K & two 211's for recording purposes) I'll be forced to switch to D*. At least there I'll get all of the HD programming, including all ESPN & RSN channels in HD. Might need a couple of the D* DVR's to be able to record what I do on my 722k and 211's and the monthly programming fee might be a little higher but that will be offset a little with lower equipment fees. At least then I'll get the HD channels I want.
If Dish wants to keep me they better get their heads out of their a%%es and think of their customers or they won't have any customers to think about.
godd12,
Actually Espn News and Espn Classic have not been removed from Dish, the HD version of Espn News has been removed, ESPN Classic has been moved the Multisports package.
The Disagreement causing the removal of the HD versions of ESPN News is between ABC/Disney (owners of the ESPN Networks) and Dish.

For those of us that are not 'sports nuts', this will be irritating as hell. But switching to D* or many other providers gets you less national HD channels.
For me, this will irritate but not make me switch. I can get Terriers and other FX shows on Hulu with my HTPC, iPad and desktop computer. Irritating, but not earth shaking.
It goes by how busy your local installers are. Must be a lot of work orders in your area.I called Directv (for sh!ts and giggles) to question scheduling an install and they told me it would be mid November sometime. I wonder is this due to people jumping ship over the Fox deal? I really hope Dish gets this worked out. I don't want to switch back to Directv.

And DISH is knee deep in equipment... refurb this VIP and that VIP. Oh yeah and the new but less then stellar 922. I bet they would love to be in the same scenario as D*..DIRECTV has a problem at the moment...
they don't have any equipment. I know lots of retailers who are having trouble getting any kind of HD DVR's at the moment. This is why people are getting such far away install dates.
