No I am actually kind of sure that it wasn't L4.01 had anything to do with the DPP44 lockup. I think that the fact it was burried by 3 feet of snow had something to do with it.
Well I actually used the hdmi reset button on my bedroom tv with my 2nd 622. I haven't been able to use the hdmi output for months since it went dark. I bought a new hdmi cable because I thought the one with the adapter that Dish sent could be the culpirt.
I reset the hdmi button using the Analysis button under the diagnostics menu and then hit hdmi test and then the reset button , and the picture came back. It even told me what kind of tv I had and when the tv was made under the Disp. menu - info 2 and what kind of formats the tv used from 480i- 1080i. Very cool feature and should cut down on the amount of 622s that have to be replaced due to hdmi problems.
It seems that every time I change the hd resolution using the 622 receiver on the hdmi port on the tv I get a black picture. This hdmi reset button brings it back. I am glad I didn't rma this receiver like I was thinking about doing , since it is loaded with kid shows and porn. Funny combination. I use the porn in the bedroom and my kid uses the tv 2 tuner for kiddie shows. OF Course it is all locked out and requires a pass word for the porn.
I suggest that all who are having hdmi problems should try the hdmi reset button and see if it brings back your picture. :up

Well, i have 401 on both my 622s and DishComm is working for me. I can connect to Dish Home on the box that is not connected to a phone line. Working for anyone else?

Ok.. I'll give you that one.. Kinda hard to argue with 3 feet of snow... Although I really don't know what it's like.. Haven't seen snow here in over 10 years..
I think I found a small bug. When you go to Point Dish screen, Menu, 6, 1, 1 the satellite defaults to 105 not the satellite for the last channel you were watching. Going to the satellite for the last channel you were watching is what all receivers did before and that's how the 622 used to behave in this screen.

I just tried it on both my boxes running 401 and they correctly defaulted to 110 and 119.
After rebooting my 622, it is operating normally, with 3.66. I hope the corrupt HD was a fluke. Such is life if it wets the bed before external storage. Most of what I have is HD and not worth keeping if I can't keep it as HD.

Hmmm. I tried a little more and they're not defaulting to the satellite of the last channel. It doesn't always default to 105 like I first posted but it doesn't default to the last satellite. Dfergie tried it earlier too to check where HBO HD mirror was coming from and he got the same thing. I'm going to reboot the receiver.....

Rebooting the receiver fixed it but when I was getting out of the Point Dish screen, I got a "There is an error with your switch". Running check switch right now. So I'd say Run check switch like LER said if you're having this problem.
Any word on when the next group of receivers get their upgrade? I was too slow at getting in the beta and was not one of the people chosen to have theirs upgraded ahead of time.
Ok, so it looks like i may be one of the (un)lucky people who got the new update. At first everything seemed cool, I like the fact that the HD is next to the SD channel in the guide. But then I went to try and watch a taped show... no go. Any show in HD that I had is unwatchable. It just comes up to a paused black screen, then goes to the screen with 0 time remaining. SD items on the DVR play fine. The other problem is that I am watching HD live tv, and I am unable to time shift at all. I can pause, but when I unpause it goes right to live TV, no matter how much time I let pass on pause. I cannot rewind, even though it shows how much saved time I have on the bar at the bottom.
I tried to read through most of the posts on this thread and didnt seem to have anyone with the same problems! I already tried to power cycle the unit, same issue. Any ideas!!!!

ThaVWman can you please hit menu 6, 1, 3 and verify which software version you are on? These sound like problems associated with the prior releases not with L4.01.
L4.01 listed on that menu. This thing has been working great up until now! Im going to be upset if I lost all the recordings I have not been able to watch yet!
