For those of us who are new...or are just out of the loop: Why is there no PBS-HD on Dish (at least in my area on the far western tip of the Olympic Peninsula). I DO qualify for "locals," by the way. The area CABLE systems DO carry PBS-HD. Seattle is 100 miles away, over the mountain,.s as they say, and I cannot receive PBS-HD OTA. My inquiry to DISH was met with a polite - but totally uninformative - response. They say "they are looking at all local programming"). Neatly sidestepping any direct reply to the PBS-HD issue. Please remember that that's the one we pay for with donations and (a few) tax dollars.
This is probably an old issue, I realize. but the "PBS National Feed" is available, I think....somewhere up there near the Van Allen Belt.
