Occasional pixilating on channel 2 - chicago

I am a newbie to DTV. I have noticed that I am seeing pixilation on channel 2 (WBBM Chicago) on occasion....not all the time.

Is anyone experiencing this? Is there anything I can do?

It is not a constant thing. Occasional, maybe 1 -2 times every 30 - 60 minutes and only last a second or 2.

Also, where can I find a Chicago channel guide for DTV?

My channel two does it too. I cant wait untill they move off of 3 to 12 so I can finally get them via ota.

My Chicago locals have been acting up too on DirecTV. Channel 2 does do this. There is like digital video and audio break up once or twice per hour for about 2-3 seconds each time. Whenever I watch the Unit this happens and it annoys the hell out of me. Sometimes there is an important scene and I will never know what they said. Its not just CBS that is doing this. I have noticed this on a couple of the other local channels too.

My wife and I have noticed this also, on the HR-21 DVR in HD, but not the SD boxes in the rest of the house. At first I was thinking it was the box, until I noticed that it only seems to happen with any regularity on CBS Channel 2. I have noticed this for a few months now, it wasn't just recently. Glad to see that someone else is having the same issues, and that it probably isn't my equipment, but something in the HD Transcode path for DirecTV.

This happened again tonight when I was watching the Unit. It also happened on the local news right after The Unit a couple times. There is a digital break up with the audio and video (same problem as last week when I was watching The Unit). This also happens when I watch 2 and a Half Men on Monday evenings.

Im going to see if there is anyone from D* we can contact to take a look at this thread.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have received word on what is going on with WBBM HD and Directv.

WBBM is having problems with a new Harris encoder they put in

WBBM is aware of the issue and it is generating from them. They are working on the issue and hope to have it resolved shortly. Keep me posted if you notice any changes or if this continues and I'll pass word back up to D*

My Channel 2 and 32 do this to .i had to hook my antenna so i could record the simpsons and family guy..

It was worse tonight than ever before. It was unbearable watching Two and a Half Men. Constant audio and video glitches that interrupted the show.

I wonder if this was fixed in the Chicago market this week because after months of audio/video stuttering tonight's broadcast was flawless over DTV locals. It was surprising because I seldom could get 10 minutes into prime-time before they would force me over to my OTA setup.

I have not noticed any pixelation during the Amazing Race or Survivor or Letterman lately
