OAN - One America News

20 cents is chump change. and BBC World News is definitely left of center and I have no problem with paying for it.

Do you honestly think it's as simple as that?

If Dish decides to carry that channel then they would have set terms with that network. Just because you see the channel listed as only costing 20 cents does not mean that will be the cost to Dish. They would also have to determine what package the channel gets carried in. Some networks require their channel to be carried in the basic package. Since channels charger per viewer Dish would have to pay 20 cents multiplied by every customer they have that's viewing it. Lets say that 13 million Dish customers receive that channel. That would cost Dish $2.6M per month.

That's a lot of money and that's only if they charge 20 cents.

Knowing Charlie, they would only put it in the AT 250 and Flex News Packages, so it would just be the folks who already pay extra for news or extra for 250 channels. He would likely make money on the deal because there would be people who would pay $10 a month extra to get a 20 cent news channel along with the other channels in the package.. That is a very big profit.

The other factor is that DirecTV already has the channel, and does he want to lose customers to them? As far as I am concerned, they can drop Blaze because it never really caught on, but OAN is on a roll. One America News, from a whisper to a shout!

That's exactly where Dish should put it because it's not as popular of a channel. Niche channels get put in the higher packages where the people who want them can pay more to get them.

If Dish knew it could make a lot of money carrying one channel I bet they would carry it. I'm not sure you're understanding how it all works yet.

For the absolute life of me I have no idea why people point out FACTS, and its called political?....This is just another rich mans network, to tell the masses how to think!.....

Im sorry I point out the truth, and it cuts so deeply, peoples feeling get hurt!

One America News Network
(abbreviated as OANN), commonly referred to as One America News (abbreviated as OAN), is an American cable news television channel that is owned by Herring Networks, Inc.. The network is headquartered in San Diego, California, and operates a news bureau in Washington, D.C.[1] and New York City.[2]

Originally envisioned as a conservative-oriented news network,[3] OAN's stated focus is delivering national and international news 24/7.[4] OAN features news programming and political talk shows, along with network special documentary-style reports. OAN states a goal of delivering objective news coverage and political talk shows that illustrate a strong conservative view.[5]

Charles Herring, in an interview in CPAC, said "Fox is a great platform, a lot of conservatives like it, it gets outstanding ratings. There is nothing wrong with Fox. The problem is that if you take the channel lineup, the sources of national news tend to lean to the left … and all we have is Fox."[10]

I think my point would be that I'd love to see news programming that stated the news without any conservative or liberal viewpoint at all. Show me what is happening, in the entire world and not just USA-centric, and allow me to make up my own mind as to what I think of it.
Sounds like One America News is just what the doctor ordered.

OAN doesn't even have an iPhone app. How important could they be?

Subscribe to KlowdTV and watch it on the KlowdTV app. That's what I do. You don't need a cable/satellite provider to get One America News Network. OANN is on DirecTV and I don't watch that channel on DirecTV. I watch OANN on my Roku Ultra on the KlowdTV app and I upscale it to 4K. If you don't mind shelving up $7 a month for it you can get it. They also provide channels like Newsmax which Dish dropped as well as the fact they also provide TheBlaze in HD, which Dish doesn't. I apologize if I sound like a commercial.

I honestly don't think there is such a thing. At least not here in the US.

My opinion may not be very popular, but I still like TheBlaze. I like hearing a diverse amount of conservative opinions. I also like CRTV and to a very small degree Info Wars, even if Alex Jones is a complete nutcase.

Its not the same since Tomi Lahren got fired. I always liked her opinions. I also used to buy Playboy for the interviews and stories. ;)

I also like hearing her opinions as well. I heard she got fired for stating she was pro-choice on The View but just three weeks earlier being an avid pro-lifer. The reason given was "intellectual dishonesty". I don't know what the truth is, but the more opinions one listens to, the more informed he will be. I still enjoy Beck's and Lash's opinions anyways. But yes, Lahren was good too. She's working for Trump now and I'm sure she will end up on some other media source eventually anyways. And if you subscribe to CRTV, she was recently interviewed on Louder with Crowder (forgot which date). So you can at least enjoy her there. Actually, Andrew Wilkow's show was the very best show to ever be on TheBlaze, and he got fired too, which sucks. At least I can listen to him on SiriusXM Patriot.

Being an independent. I used to love to cycle through most of all the usual news channels, but these days I can't stomach most of them. I do like to watch Erin Burnett(Mostly on mute these days) and I did enjoy watching O'Reilly just as much as I still enjoy watching Maher. Other than the odd Tucker, I'm more or less done with Fox as well. I dropped MSNBC ages ago, so there was a definite void and OAN seems to be the most unbiased of the bunch, when I first watched it for a few days it was like a breath of fresh air. I'm not sure what providers offer it but I think most of you Dish subs would really like it.
