Well they finally switched these from mpeg2 to mpeg4. Not necessarily a bad thing but..

Your Comments please

The first problem I am seeing is that on WABC the Mpeg4 is showing major audio out of sync. The OTA is fine. The OTA clearly the winner for Video. But I will reserve comparison between the former Mpeg2 satellite channel for now.

Just my two cents, but the video noise I used to see on WNBC's local news has disappeared. In addition, WCBS DT's transmission of the USA HD feed of the Masters was a thing of beauty!
 
Looks like they corrected the audio on WNYW, which was also out of sync, very quickly. And now after several days WABC looks like it is also corrected.
