Cold, Cold,Michigan USA
I looked out the front window this morning and saw the grass! The snow this time of the year should have been up to the bottom of the top rail of the fence. it sure was last year. 45 degrees when it should have been 25 degrees. I LOVE IT! In fact it has been so warm in Minn-A-Snow-Ta I'll bet Iceberg was outside in a tank top and shorts adjusting a dish today.:D

Crazy weather.....

Actually I've been sick since Monday night so havent done any dish projects. Just started getting better

But I did use the leaf blower to blow the leaves from out under the deck today

One of our local weathermen said 95% of the US was above freezing yesterday. Many places some 40degrees above normal. We should be mid 40's to 50 here and it's been 68 to 70 for the past 3 to 4 days. I'm ready for cold winter weather and hope it stays that way for a few weeks.

i think changes are a coming. Storms that have been hitting the southern U.S. earlier in the winter seem to be tracking more to the north lately so I think the northern u.s. will get back to their normal winter weather and the southern u.s. will go back into the weather pattern that brings reasonably severe spring drought just like last year.

Heck, it got up to 65 clear up here in WV today. Had to take my coat off because I was sweating. Nice weather to work in. Cold snap returns next week though.

We have been dodging bullets here too! There has been a lot of 40 to near 50 degree weather and then a cool down for a couple of days. About once a week the lake effect snow kicks in but has for the most part avoided me! I only had maybe 2 inches of snow early this week and places to the South and East (The snow belt!) had 1 to 2 feet of snow!!! That was a repeat of a week or so ago when they got dumped on and I was spared. The city of Erie had about a foot of snow for the season so far and normally they get less than my location. I do not think that I had even 6 inches yet this year! This lake effect snow falls wherever the wind direction takes it. This year Lake Erie is not froze so whenever the cold winds do arrive and go over the relatively warm waters... Look out!

Decent winter here in Ohio. Only two days so far with a high in the 20's...rest of the winter in the 40's mostly...great for January lol...One night we had a dusting of snow....I've got spring bulbs poking about an inch out of the ground...too early for that...Blind

I've had the air conditioner on here for the last 4 days in a row, day and night.

Check this out.

Kids are outside today playing in shorts/t-shirts and barefoot..

I don't consider it to be somewhat "cold" until it gets into the 30's. Between 40 and 60 is my comfort zone.
70 to 75 is getting mildly uncomfortable and anything above 80 is bloody hot. It stays well above 80f here for 9 months of the year,
the other months are borderline cool. We may get one or two lame freezes per year, but in recent years, less and less.
We don't get a real winter here. The local cry babies call it winter but I call it a short cool spell.

I like it about 45. When it's 45 and sunny, I open the house completely up, doors, windows, etc.
I have a fenced in yard so the dog is free to roam in and out at will but she prefers to be at my feet.
First think when I wake up is turn on the coffee pot and open the house up. Then I'll go sit on the patio and have coffee for a few hours
and enjoy the peace and quiet.

During the so-called "winter" here, I don't even run the heater.

Living right on the Gulf of Mexico has some serious disadvantages for those of us that hate the heat.

I'm sure not going to complain about today's weather here in Iowa as it gave me the chance to mix concrete and set my pole and in a normal winter it wouldn't be possible to even dig a hole.

Tuesday morning the low was 18 here. This afternoon I tossed a softball around with my daughter to help her get ready for try-outs Monday... in 75 degree weather! :D

WOW! What a change. I hope/think the oranges are in the South, so they won't cost $3.00 each 'cuz they froze. My one trip to Florida was in 2002. As I landed the drought broke. 14 days and it rained 11 of them. Not an afternoon short term rain, it rained for many, many hours each day. Rain, rain ,rain, rain, that is about all I saw down there. Found a guy that sewed words on hats. Had one made that said, "Florida, the rain state." Got tons of giggles from many others at the convention I was at for about 5 days. It did stop raining when I went out to Key West. Only "nice" day I had out of two weeks. Never went back.:(

While we did have a couple of mornings when the temps dropped to the low teens, overall I have never seen a warmer winter like this before. The other day got up to 58 degrees, looking at the forecast fox weather bar on the firefox browser... the forecast..today Sunday 46, Mon 48, Tue 51 and Wed 55.

I hugged an evergreen tree with a chainsaw, but it had 2 projections skyward and just taking 1 down didn't improve the sat reception for the sat it was blocking.I will have to hug it again.
