Not much on TV today.

Well once again I checked for White Springs updates on their website and there was nothing. No surprise there I guess.

Then I looked at their schedule to see what I'm missing.
Being October I was hoping to catch all the hokey old scary movies.
I clicked on something in the WSTV guide and it took me to the IMDB site.
From there I clicked something else that said "Hey, that movie is in the Public Domain, click here to download it for free!"

I followed that link and that opened up all sorts of interesting opportunities.

Public Domain Movie Torrents with PDA iPod Divx PSP versions

I haven't started downloading any of them yet but I did play around and found a program called videolan and I am now watching White Springs via the internet.

It's not very handy because my fancy-pants remote control doesn't work, that's a real pain but at least I can watch their silly movies again.

I sure wish I could make the satellite remote also operate the videolan program or make the satellite program play the White Springs internet stuff.
I tried and neither work.

The sad thing is, the picture on the White Springs internet is only 320x240 so it looks pretty BAD in full screen. Almost unwatchable. And on my new HDTV, it's horrible. It's like watching animated Lego's characters.

And no recording. I used to like to record some of the cartoons on White Springs. :(

On the good side, the audio is WAY better. It plays out of both speakers now and doesn't sound like a deaf person has turned it up too loud.

I wish I could get this stupid home media center or whatever you call the stupid thing to play everything, satellite, tv and internet all with one single program and one remote control. I was trying to watch TV in bed this morning and I had like 5 remotes floating around in the covers I was trying to keep track of. It's enough to make you crazy!

Maybe in like 20 years they'll have something like that? Long after I'm dead and gone I'm sure. I don't know why they have to make 800 different versions of everything and make everything so complicated to use.
