What equipment would be needed to pick up data from trds (the Tracking and Data Relay System that Nasa uses to talk to Hubble Spacecraft)?

Each satellite has S-band, Ku-band, and Ka-band systems which support multiple data-rates

Do a google search of wxsat: here is a link to some info http://www.hffax.de/html/hauptteil_beginners_guide2.html I don't have a set up but I think it is a fairly simple setup. There is all kind of satellite stuff for weather & amateur radio....I once had a couple of conversations on one of the old RS satellites (a Sputnik like Russian satellite) that was in polar orbit...it was pretty cool in a geeky sort of way .
