No surprise here....Sammy Sosa one of the 103 that tested positive for PEDs!

Totally agree, that's the reality. But the reality for me (and a lot of others) is that means they're all guilty by association.

The clean ones should have made their feelings known long ago, behind closed doors, that they wanted the game cleaned up. They didn't, and as far as a lot of the baseball public is concerned, and old-time players as well, their records will be forever tarnished regardless of whether they did PED's or not.

This has...and always will have to do with money. ALOT of these guys do this because they wanna extend their careers and make more money. ALL know they usually have to quit before they are ready to quit.

This is VERY similar to cops. They would never "rat out" bad cops because they have to work and in some case LIVE with these guys more than half the year.

The only part that REALLY pisses me off is that they ALL state INITIALLY that they have 'never seen it going on themselves, but I have heard the stories.....'

...THE biggest BULL**** lie in all of sports...

I agree. If you asked me to come up with one player who is not on the list, I would say Mariano Rivera. But as much as I love him, I'm not even going to believe Mariano is not on the list.

Sandra

I'd have to put in my two cents and say Ken Griffey Jr. is another name that wouldn't be on the list. At least I hope.

Who is leaking these names? I'm going to assume that the only people who know the names are in MLB. This leaking of a name at a time, is just keeping this scandal at the forefront of MLB news. Just "leak" all the names now. That way they can get this behind them quicker. The players union will scream and holler, but so what. Who's going to support them in this matter? The players who aren't guilty will be glad that they have been somewhat absolved. The test is from 2003, so I'm sure there are a lot of guys who have "juiced" since then who haven't been caught, so nobody from this era is coming out of this unscathed.

Again, my point is that dragging this along does the sport no good. Get out on the table now, so we can move on. At least the next generation of players can maybe play without that "cloud" hanging over their heads.

Totally agree, and I can name others as well. But as long as that list is out there I'm not going to give Mariano, Junior, or anyone else the benefit of the doubt.

I think we're actually saying the same thing. I'm saying the clean players should make a stink to demand the list be released...so they're no longer guilty by association with the cheaters.
The problem is, the tests only caught 103 of them. I'm guessing far more took PED's, but the tests just didn't flag them.
So some of those with negative test results might think they have positive results, and don't want to take chances, so the union is going to fight it tooth and nail.

Sandra

I was fooled by A-Rod, Manny and Roger. I'm not gonna be fooled again. Everyone's a user until I see the list.

Poll on ESPN right now....

For what will Sammy Sosa be most remembered by?

A) 1998 HR chase with Mark McGuire

B) Corked bat incident

C) Testimony before Congress

D) Use of Performance Enhancing Drugs

So now we get to watch Congress indict Sosa now too for lying in front of a congressional committee under oath.

"hey guys, this is how somebody told me to 'get 5' who gives it to me?"
