When signing up with Dish 2 days ago, I was told they had to do a credit check. I gave them all the info and was approved for service. Thought my credit was shot and was worried about a deposit. After signing up and getting the install date set, they never said anything about a deposit. I hope no surprises show up on my first bill or would they have taken the deposit up front?

No. Nothing like that showed on my bill and my credit was less than perfect.

All they do is put a $25 hold on your card in order to do a credit check. If you meet their requirements you then qualify and there will be no charge to your card, unless you signed up for credit card autopay.

I'm on regular mail billing. Just wanted to make sure after I got all hooked up, the installer wouldn't suprise me needing a deposit to start service.
